Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Health Leadership and Management is a program for health care professionals seeking: the leadership skills required to be an effective manager in the context of health care; to critically evaluate and incorporate reflective practice in a leadership role; and to analyse and demonstrate the values of coaching and mentoring skills.

The program comprises four six-credit point subjects offered by flexible delivery.

Course Learning Outcomes

Course Learning Outcomes are statements of learning achievement that are expressed in terms of what the learner is expected to know, understand and be able to do upon completion of a course. Students graduating from this course will be able to demonstrate:

7 Independently plan and execute a project in regard to health leadership and management
8 Demonstrate knowledge and application of skills in reflection and in coaching in relation to effective leadership

Course Structure

To qualify for award of the degree, the Graduate Certificate in Health Leadership and Management, a candidate must successfully complete at least 24 credit points in accordance with the table below.
