Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Health provides the knowledge and skills to effectively address Indigenous community health, community development, and cultural issues in relation to Indigenous health.

It is a multi-disciplinary program involving local Indigenous communities, and highlights both historical and contemporary Indigenous health problems.

The four subjects are available by flexible or distance delivery.

Course Learning Outcomes

Course Learning Outcomes are statements of learning achievement that are expressed in terms of what the learner is expected to know, understand and be able to do upon completion of a course. Students graduating from this course will be able to demonstrate:

3 Review, analyse and synthesise information to identify complex Indigenous health issues.
4 Exercise critical thinking and reflection to appreciate and evaluate the complexity of Indigenous health issues.
5 Communicate knowledge and ideas about the concepts of Indigenous health and the related impact for treatment of illness.
