Course Description
This degree program consists of an end-on year to a combined LLB degree during which students undertake a joint research program approved by the LLB Honours Coordinator and the relevant authority in the other discipline. This program aims to provide a legal education which equips students with a critical and questioning attitude, offers a broad perspective and provides the foundation for a career in an extensive range of legal work. This program enables students to apply this knowledge in a multi-disciplinary context.
Course structure
Students who enrol in the Bachelor of Laws Joint Honours by Research, must complete the following:
a) the subject LLB424 Joint Honours in Law and another discipline (24cp) and;
b) an honours subject/s in the other Faculty (24cp).
The Honours grade will be calculated in accordance with Method 1 in the University's General Course Rules (8.37), ie. based entirely on performance in 400 level subjects.
