Master of Arts (Information Technology in Education and Training)
Overview
The Master of Arts specialising in Information
Technology in Education and Training is aimed at those who wish
to develop information and communication technology application
for training and educational contexts. It is a professional development
program which introduces the design process for multimedia and
discusses issues such as how the Internet and other computer
mediated learning can support learning. Other topics covered
in the program include: the design of CD-Rom products, digital
media projects, cognition and interface design, using websites
and networks for learning and the evaluation of technology-based
learning systems. It differs from the MEd program in that no
formal educational background is required for entry.
Entry Requirements
Students should hold a recognised Bachelors degree and have
access to a training or educational context in which to undertake
course projects.
Course Requirements
Subjects are chosen from those listed in the Information
Technology specialisation.
Course Program
48cp of subjects, chosen from the IT specialisation,
in consultation with the specialisation co-ordinator.
