UOW Makerspace
The UOW Makerspace provides access to a wide range of equipment including laser cutter, several 3D printers, water jet cutter, sewing machine, heat press and general hand and power tools. We provide expert training on how to use the equipment and we always have staff on hand for support, advice and brainstorming ideas.
What we do
UOW Makerspace is open to the public providing themed workshops and general maker sessions for individual projects. Our workshops are for individuals and groups and aim to introduce various making techniques like laser cutting, 3D printing, electronics, textiles and more.
The UOW Makerspace also runs general maker sessions for those wanting to come in and use the equipment or space, much like a gym. We have friendly staff on hand to teach you how to operate the machines and make sure you are comfortable getting started.
If you are interested in UOW Makerspace, it's best to come in and see what we are all about.
The UOW Makerspace is currently open free of charge to students and staff.
