Orientation program

A compulsory orientation program for all study abroad and exchange students is held every semester, approximately one week prior to the start of classes. The program is designed to provide students with all the information they require to settle into a new country and to confidently approach a new study environment.

  • 8:30am Aboriginal ceremony, student check in, VC welcome, systems access | Unihall 11

  • 11am Study abroad and exchange orientation session | Hope Theatre 40.153
  • 1:30pm Surf camp and beach safety, staying safe, BUPA, getting around Wollongong, Australian Flora and Fauna | Hope Theatre 40.153

Orientation festival: UOW Campus 12-4pm

  • Enrolment at the UOW
  • Academic differences
  • Services and facilities available campus
  • Information relating to Overseas Student Health Cover
  • Surf saftey guidelines
  • Opportunity to meet other study abroad and exchange students
  • Campus tours

Students should enrol prior to orientation, but we can assist you to enrol on the day if needed.
