Offer and acceptance

Offer and Acceptance

You will receive the outcome of your application within approximately two weeks for coursework programs or up to six weeks for research programs - whether you have applied directly to UOW or via a University representative.

If you have applied through a UOW representative, the outcome of your application will be sent directly to your representative by email; you will receive a separate email from UOW UniAdvice notifying you when we have sent the outcome to your representative.

If your application is successful, you will receive an email containing your Offer of Admission letter. This emailed Offer of Admission letter is official notification that you have been offered a place at the University of Wollongong (UOW) and, if relevant a preparatory English or academic program at UOW College.

Your letter contains important information about your program of study and conditions that may apply to your offer.

To ensure your acceptance is as easy and smooth as possible, please read the Understanding Your Offer pages.

Once you have accepted your offer, you can start the process to apply for a student visa and accommodation in Wollongong, and to prepare for your arrival.

Further information about privacy relevant to your admission is available at the University's Privacy website, including additional information about privacy and consent for sponsored students.

The Australian Government provides protection for international students through its ESOS legislative framework; visit their website if you would like further details.
