THE FLIGHT OF BIRDS: WRITING ABOUT BIRDS, HUMANS AND THE PLANET WITH JOSHUA LOBB
Joshua will talk about The Flight of Birds, his new novel about humans, birds, grief and climate change. He will discuss the ways local encounters with birds – rosellas and koels, kookaburras, chickens and lyrebirds – might allow us to change the way we interact with our planet.
Joshua teaches Creative Writing at the University of Wollongong. His stories have appeared in The Bridport Anthology, Best Australian Stories, Animal Studies Journal, TEXT and Southerly. His novel in twelve stories, The Flight of Birds, is published by Sydney University Press.
