ASEARC Partners

ASEARC was originally set up as a collaboration between four NSW Universities, but the University of New England has since withdrawn from the project. Three NSW Universities now funded by the Commonwealth Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations' Collaboration and Structural Reform Fund (now part of the Diversity and Structural Adjustment Fund).

The Centre for Statistical and Survey Methodology (CSSM) within the School of Mathematics and Applied Statistics undertakes fundamental and contract research, major consulting projects and training in statistical methodology. Our mission is to lift statistical thinking and practice in Australia and the Pacific, through research leadership, teaching, postgraduate supervision and partnerships with governments and industry.

The CSSM is a centre of excellence in design and analysis for complex populations. The Centre has expertise in: survey design and analysis; complex data analysis and estimation methods; experimental design and analysis; data mining; spatial and small area statistics; statistics in quality; privacy and confidentiality; combining and analysing data from different sources, bioinformatics and statistical education.

The University of Newcastle

The School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences within the University of Newcastle is a dynamic School offering exciting opportunities at the forefront of modern undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and learning in Mathematics, Physics and Statistics.
