Yours & Owls 2023

Yours & Owls
at UOW

FAQs

The Yours & Owls (Y&O) Festival is an annual music festival in Wollongong, coordinated by the Yours & Owls group and run for nearly a decade. This year the festival will feature 106 artists, and a full line up can be found here.

The brainchild of three UOW alumni, Y&O has created the region’s premier music festival and one of Australian music’s most trusted brands.

The festival will occur over two days, on 14 and 15 October, and will be held at UOW’s ovals, laneways and lawns. A full site map will be provided closer to the event once the detailed operational planning has been finalised. On Saturday, the event runs from 12 pm – 11 pm, and Sunday 12 pm – 10 pm.

The festival is expected to draw an audience of 25,000 festival-goers per day.

Y&O is responsible for running the event, in consultation with UOW's facilities management and security teams, to ensure a safe and successful event.

Holding the Y&O Festival at UOW reflects UOWs support and commitment to the Wollongong community.

We provide a logical solution to host the 2023 festival due to the size of the grounds, existing infrastructure, and transport options, as well as being a community meeting place and anchor institution in the region. This is a perfect opportunity to showcase the beauty of the campus, showcase UOW’s campus life, serve as an added layer to the student experience, and increase future student awareness of UOW.

The Y&O Festival at UOW will also encourage the community to have fun and enjoy some of the best live music around in a safe and relaxed environment.

UOW has a long association with the gents behind the Y&O Festival.

While they are all proud UOW alumni, they have also been regular entertainment bookers at UOW for the past 10 years. The Y&O team are passionate about and committed to sustainability and are sustainably conscious when planning their events and festivals. In the coming weeks, Y&O organisers will announce their impressive sustainability initiatives for the 2023 festival at UOW.
