Research, ethics and governance

PCOC supports high-quality research through collaborations on studies, programs, and competitive grants across Australia and internationally. We supervise PhD candidates through the Australasian Health Outcomes Consortium at the University of Wollongong and regularly contribute to peer-reviewed publications.

PCOC plays a key role in advancing casemix development and fostering a common language in palliative care. Through the Australian Palliative Care Outcomes Registry, we enable impactful research and connect clinicians and researchers to strengthen national and international research networks.

All research involving PCOC data is governed by rigorous ethics and data governance protocols to ensure responsible, privacy-conscious data use and meaningful improvements in care.
