The physical infrastructure of the UOW Southern Sydney campus is based on a co-location model whereby the University, and TAFE NSW (Loftus), share the same campus. The two entities operate separately however share common facilities.
A Southern Sydney campus there is a large computer lab with 25 desktop computers available for student use, as well as two extra stations for students to connect their own laptops.
A colour printer/scanner/copier is also available for student use for a reasonable copy charge.
Extended after-hours access to the lab is available (on application) if you wish to use the computers or simply find a quiet place to study.
Free wifi is available for UOW students whilst on Campus.
PC locs Charging Station
This unit is located on the 1st floor and has 15 separate lockable charging cells to charge any device (phone, laptop or tablet).
The student can supply their own charge cable or selected cables may be loaned from the staff at Southern Sydney student services.(G02)
Each cell contains both a USB port and a power point.
The device can be secured inside the cell with a passcode and can be left to charge while the student is in class.
Latest technology AV
Several of the larger classrooms on campus have been fitted with the latest technology in audio visual equipment,
including state of the art video conferencing capabilities, large high resolution screens and document scanners.
Food & beverage options
Modern student kitchen
The beautiful modern kitchen is shared by students and staff. A large student fridge, two new microwaves and FREE tea & coffee facilities are available in the adjoining common area all year round. Two vending machines are also provided and free weekly SAF food-based events also held for students throughout each session.
Takeaway food, drinks, coffee and tea can be purchased from the canteen located in the TAFE grounds. Sutherland and Loftus shops are a brisk walk or a 5 minute drive away with plenty of options for refreshment.
Free for students and staff to use any time, the large push-button BBQ is located behind the south entrance of campus, in the outdoor area. BBQ equipment is stored in the kitchen.

Campus administration staff are available on campus between 9 am and 5 pm weekdays to assist students and staff with all required University enquiries and processes.

Your Southern Sydney campus administration staff also organise all regular SAF events on campus, conduct swipe card training sessions, administer first aid, provide JP services, assist with enrolments, organise Orientation days and Careers information sessions and other Campus events, administer subject evaluations, and co-ordinate on campus exams each year!
