From humble beginnings to international recognition as one of the world's best modern universities, the University of Wollongong has a lot to celebrate.

30 years of Creative Arts

On the anniversary of the 1983 formation of the School of Creative Arts, the University celebrated 30 years of UOW Creative Arts. A series of exhibitions, performances, presentations were held to mark the occasion, with a keynote address delivered by Rupert Myer, Chair of the Australian Council of the Arts. For more, see:

Wollongong Teachers' College 50th Reunion Celebration

In October 2012, Wollongong Teachers College students held a reunion to celebrate 50 years since the founding of the College. An anniversary Exhibition was held in the Library's Panizzi Room to mark the event. Find out more about the Teachers' College exhibition

NSW University of Technology Wollongong Division 60th Anniversary

In 2011, the University reflected on the 60 years that had passed since the then New South Wales University of Technology established a division in Wollongong.

The anniversary was celebrated throughout the year, with a range of special events, conferences, lectures and musical performances.
