Christine McLoughlin AM is an experienced Australian business leader. She has served as a Non-Executive Director on the Boards of ASX 50 Companies in financial services, resources, health insurance and  infrastructure sectors for the past 14 years.

Christine’s executive career was in leadership roles in financial services and telecommunications sectors in ASX Top 20 Companies. Christine is passionate about driving continuous improvement to organisational culture, company performance and has a sharp focus on customer outcomes and stakeholder management.

Christine is Chairman of Suncorp Group Limited, a Director of Cochlear Limited and the Chancellor of the University of Wollongong. She is also the Chairman and Co-founder of the Minerva Network which supports the development of professional female athletes.

Previous director roles include Deputy Chairman of The Smith Family, Chairman of Destination NSW, Chairman of Venues NSW, director of the not-for-profit McGrath Foundation as well as directorships at nib holdings limited, Whitehaven Coal Limited, Spark Infrastructure, ANSTO (Australian Nuclear Science & Technology Organisation), and Victoria’s Transport Accident Commission. Christine was also the inaugural Chairman of the Australian Payments Council and the Australian private sector representative to the G20 EMPOWER Council, which focused on the empowerment and progression of women’s economic representation across the globe and Chairman of the “Game Changers” Ministerial Advisory Council, reporting to the Minister for Sport, which provides strategic advice to accelerate change by leveraging increased investment for women in sport.

In November 2022, Christine was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Australian Event Awards 2022 for her significant work in securing and delivering Australian Events over the years.

In June 2021, Christine was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for her services to business, the not-for-profit sector and women.

Christine is a member of Chief Executive Women former Telstra Businesswomen of the Year.
