Community Engagement Grants Scheme (CEGS)
The Community Engagement Grants Scheme provides funding to UOW staff for educational, research or outreach projects that partner with Community organisation and groups. Established in 2005, over $610,000 has been awarded to 73 projects.
- Have Impact: CEGS projects address key challenges in our communities and take action to create real and measurable outcomes.
- Build Capacity: CEGS projects are not one off events or top ups for ongoing projects. CEGS projects build the capacity of project areas toward ongoing and sustainable outcomes.
- Support the vision of UOW: To be a leader in ideas and solutions, a community of campuses and partners where discovery, learning and technology connect to transform people and the communities that we live in.
Above all, CEGS projects are innovative, starting small and dreaming big – they create new and sustainable approaches, connections and futures.
Applications are now open for the 2019 Community Engagement Grants Scheme.
To meet the eligibility criteria a UOW staff member must lead the project, in collaboration with at least one community group or organisation, and be supported by the Executive Dean or Director of the relevant Faculty or Division. UOW strives to enable projects that have the capacity to develop self-sustainability. For further information please refer to the CEGS Guidelines.
Projects are to be completed by November 2020. Approximately $50,000 will be allocated each year to the Scheme with a maximum of $13,000 to be allocated per project.
Applications close 2:00pm, Wednesday 31 July, 2019.
