    • Khin Than Win (MBBS, DCS,IDCS, MS-CIS) is a Lecturer in the School of Information Technology and Computer Science. She is pursuing PhD in health informatics. She is a medical doctor with post graduate degree in computer information system. Her background in medicine and knowledge of computing motivate her to be involved in health informatics research area.

    Her research topic is the "Risk Assessment of Electronic Health Record Systems".

    The purpose of the research is to analyse the risk imposed by health information stored in electronic methods and minimise the risk that affect the patient health. As in all other software systems, unexpected failures can occur so EHR systems should have the risk assessment. The research explores the categorisation of risk assessment methods in software engineering and analysed whether the risk assessment methods in the other safety critical systems and safety related systems can be applied in the risk assessment of the electronic medical record systems. And proposed the most suitable method to apply the risk assessment of the electronic medical record sysstems.

    My research interest is in issues involved in electronic medical record systems especially in risk assessment. And also privacy,confidentiality, access and consent of EMR systems. Risk management, information management, software processes involved in implementing EMR systems.
