I am a Discovery Early Career Research Award (DECRA) award recipient, who commenced his DECRA research fellowship at the University of Wollongong in September 2014. Prior to my DECRA fellowship, I completed a postdoc in the Institut für Umweltphysik (IUP) at the University of Bremen, in the group of Prof. Dr. Justus Notholt.
I grew up in Wollongong, where I completed high school and undergraduate degrees in Science, with a major in chemistry, including an honours research year, and Mathematics. After completing my undergraduate studies, I commenced my postgraduate studies with Prof. David Griffith and Dr. Glenn Bryant, at the University of Wollongong, and Dr. Rachel Law at CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research.
After completing my PhD, I remained at Wollongong in a postdoc position, before moving to Bremen, Germany, for 4 years.
Outside of atmospheric research, I have an interest in sport, especially football, cricket, cycling (as a spectator and participant) and motor racing, and travel.
