This thesis investigates two mathematical models for a continuously stirred tank reactor. The basic model is described by system of two non-linear ordinary differential equations.
The dimensional model is scaled, steady-state solutions are found and their stability are determined. Steady state diagrams are plotted for physically meaningful solutions. Also, we examine the effect of changing parameter values, and singularity theory is used to analyse th equations.
Even though we were not able to finish the analysis we still found some interesting results about the continuously stirred tank reactor.
