PhD Scholarships

I received my BSc in Computer Science from Fudan University in 1982 and my PhD in computer science from University of New England in March 1996. After the completion of my BSc, I was employed as an assistant engineer and assistant research professor in the Seismological Bureau of China, working in the area of real time systems and expert systems associated with geophysical structures of earthquakes. I was employed as an associate lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Computing Science at University of New England. during the period of February 1995 and December 1996. In January 1997, I joined the School of Computer and Information Science, Edith Cowan University, as a lecturer and then in July 1999 joined the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, University of Newcastle, as a lecturer. Since 2001, I have been with the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, University of Wollongong, as a senior lecturer, an associate professor, and a professor.

My research interests include distributed artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems, agent-based grid computing, data mining and knowledge discovery, smart Grid systems, and agent-based service-oriented computing.
