  • 02/04/07: Simon Hawkes, a past group member, has recently published his honours research work in the international journal "Separation and Purification Technology". Simon is now working as a professional water engineer for Parsons Brinckerhoff.
  • 07/05/07: With their outstanding academic performance, Liam and Poppy have won the pretigious Allied Industrial Services Schoolarships. Each will receive 10,000$ in prize money and will be trained for 10 weeks by Allied Industrial Services. Details of the scholarship can be found here.
  • 01/11/07: Dr Long Nghiem was promoted to Senior Lecturer.
  • 07/03/08: Shanin Neveling was nominated for the prestigious 2008 Sydney Water Medal based on her outstanding honours thesis (Treatment of RO concentrate in water recycling applications using MBRs) and academic performance in other water related subjects.
  • 12/03/08: Poppy Coleman, a former group member, has recently published her honours research work in the international journal "Separation and Purification Technology". Poppy has recently joined Leighton Contractors as a professional environmental engineer.
  • 1/07/08: Adam Kiss has won the RTA honours scholarship valued at 7,000$. With this scholarsip, Adam will engage in a project assessing the performance of several decentralised wastewater treatment systems for freeway rest areas that are managed by the NSW RTA.
  • 17/10/08: Alex Robertson was awarded with a Veolia Environmental Services Scholarship valued at 10,000$ in prize money.
  • 19/01/2009: The group will host an Integrated Water Reuse Workshop. Keynote speakers include Dr Peter Dillon, Prof Will Price and Prof Sara Dolnicar. Further details of the workshop including registration information can be found here.
  • 19/06/2009: Dr Long Nghiem was honoured with an Vice Chancellor Outstanding Contribution to Teaching and Learning (OCTAL) Award.
