A Green Scheduler for Dense Enterprise WLANs

In light of worldwide concerns regarding the emission of green house gases, researchers have begun to look at ways to reduce the carbon footprint of information technology (IT) infrastructure. This paper contributes to this effort by proposing a scheduler that switches off unecessary Access Points (APs), up to 88% of deployed APs, while ensuring end-users continue to enjoy good coverage and performance.
