After nearly a year I received the promised feedback from the HIC's Professional Review Division. Isn't it interesting that the whole of Alpha's pathology holding had been sold to Sonic Healthcare in December 1998, 6 months earlier and he does not mention it. At the time I knew that Alpha had sold some units but did not know that they were all gone. The letter doesn't tell me this. They are having fun! I doubt that my submissions to the HIC had created enough pressure to cause them to pull out. They were in debt up to their ears and needed the money desperately enough to abandon their policy of integration.
