About Rhizome Magazine
The magazine is available free, and distributed across the entire campus, as well as interstate and abroad.
The magazine supports a variety of contributor formats, including arts pictorials, departmental profiles, and feature articles which explore the author's area of research.
Important: Please note that we are not accepting any submissions at the moment, as the funding arrangement for the magazine is under negotiation. When talks with the University have concluded, we will make an announcement here. Please contact us if you'd like to be kept up-to-date.
What's a Rhizome?
A rhizome is a horizontal plant stem which has both roots and shoots. By extension, the word has been used to describe non-hierarchical structures. Rhizome Magazine has cross-disciplinary interests and a broad audience. It seeks to encourage UOW postgraduates' knowledge and understanding of the work of their peers, creating a rhizomal network amongst postgrads. At the same time, it reveals the common rhizome of intellectual pursuit that links the roots and shoots of researchers across the University community.Related Topics
