WUPA held a trivia night on Tuesday, 21st August 2007. Profits were donated to the Wollongong Women's Centre. Eleven teams battled it out to see who would be immortalised on the WUPA Brain of Fame.
WUPA Barbecue, 25th July 2007
WUPA welcomed students back to campus in Week 1 of Spring session by holding a free barbecue. These WUPA barbecues are regular events. (Learn more about this activity.) Here you can see the events of a typical barbecue, with Council members and staff cooking up a storm. Students also had an opportunity to sign a postcard as part of WUPA's Fare Go campaign, calling for travel concessions for international students in NSW.

Travel Concession Rally, 28th August 2006
Sydney saw international students rally outside NSW Parliament on 28 August 2006. They were protesting against the NSW Government's plan to prevent international students from receiving travel concessions on public transport. (Learn more about this campaign.)
University of Wollongong international students and their friends participated in an on-campus rally to demand an end to this discrimination.
International Contrasts, 8th August 2006
On Tuesday 8th August, Salar Niknafs, WUPA's Media Officer, snapped some photos of flags of the world on display. But there was also an open forum on the Israel-Lebanon conflict, and he photographed that too. Salar's photos capture the contrast between a symbol of international unity and the fact of international division.
Trivia Night, 24th July 2006
WUPA held its first Faculty Vs Faculty trivia night on Monday, 24th July 2006. There was a healthy turn out and competition for the winning place was fierce. Photographs include the winning team, the runners-up, a general shot of the night, and a close-up of the trophy.
