And why not sign up for Momentum, the free mentoring program for international students? (We need domestic students too, to be group leaders.)
We'll also have a stall at the Postgraduate Coursework Orientation evening (19 February). We're part of the official Higher Degree Research student orientation (26 February), with a welcoming speech by the WUPA President. And we have a free barbecue on 12.30 pm Wednesday 27 February (see above), to welcome all new and returning postgraduates of all levels of study.
Previous Activities (2007)
Ball of the Dead
On Thursday 25 October, the Old Lone Star was overrun with zombies, vampires, devils and ghouls for WUPA's Ball of the Dead! We celebrated the end of session with a Halloween-themed party. We supplied food and drinks for a $25 ticket ($20 for our members).
Photos will be posted to our photo album website soon.
Postgrad Dinner
We held a social dinner event at Coconut Thai on 7 November. For $20, postgraduates got a chance to meet and socialise with their peers from across faculties, and enjoy a delightful Thai menu.
Trivia Night
The WUPA Trivia Night took place on 21 August in the UniBar. We raised $200 for the Wollongong Women's Centre, and located the University's biggest brains in Team Voltron.
Check out the photos in our album.
