About WUPA
What is WUPA?
The Wollongong University Postgraduate Association (WUPA) is the representative body for all postgraduates. This includes those enrolled in a PhD, Masters, Graduate Diploma, Graduate Certificate or a discrete Honours year.
WUPA exists to develop and strengthen the UOW postgraduate community. It acts to protect the interests of postgraduates, by participating in the development of University Policy. (Learn more.) It offers services and activities for postgraduates, to make postgraduate life easier and more enjoyable.
The activities of the Association are organised and overseen by the WUPA Council. The Council is elected each year in April at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
WUPA Council members are the elected representatives for postgraduates at the University of Wollongong. We are your voice on many of the University Committees, as well as being available for individual advice and representation on the many issues or problems you may not feel confident about handling on your own.
Where are the WUPA Offices?
WUPA is located in Buildings 115 and 116 on Northfields Avenue. The Postgraduate Resource Centre (PRC) is in Building 116. The Advocacy Office, Operations Manager and WUPA Meeting Room are in Building 115.
