Brief Introduction:
Joanne is a Wirungu and Narrunga from South Australia’s West Coast and my mother’s ancestry includes Irish and Scottish.
As an adult I have mainly lived and studied in Adelaide, and I spent my childhood growing up in the ACT and NSW.
I started my undergraduate studies at the University of South Australia where I completed a Bachelor of Teaching and Bachelor of Education (In service). I decided while I still had a child under school age I would pursue further studies and completed a Master of Education (Adult and Community) by distance Education in 2002.
My academic interests include Current Affairs, Indigenous film and Aboriginal Education.
