Student Services
A First Point of Contact
The Student Support Officer is available to provide both current and potential students with information regarding:
- undergraduate and postgraduate degrees
- the Alternative Admissions Program
Students who gain entry in the University through the Alternative Admissions Program are invited to attend an Indigenous Specific Orientation Program before the commencement of first semester in their first year of study. The Orientation includes:
- a familiarisation of the Woolyungah Indigenous Centre (WIC) - meeting staff and current students, touring the facilities;
- tour of the Campus;
- accommodation information;
- Abstudy Application forms; and
- assistance with enrolment details
Continuing assistance is provided to students throughout their studies for academic and personal needs with the Student Support Officer referring students to relevant on-campus and off-campus departments and organisations where needed.
Current enrolled students are informed via students UOW email accounts of:
- events occurring at the WIC;
- Cadetships and Scholarships offered by private and government organisations; and
- guest speakers at the WIC.
