Entertainment
More than a degree, it's a way of life
Budget movies, cafes, restaurants, and an award winning
bar; ensure that you get plenty of opportunity to enjoy
your time at UOW.
We encourage students to use the UniBar
as a performance and/or meeting space and it is also
available to hire as a function venue.

Band night at the UniBar
As well as regular band nights, we host heats for the
National Campus Band Comp and DJ Comp in the UniBar
and provide a diverse range of lunchtime entertainment,
including live music, comedians, trivia, pool comps,
debates, and market days.
To check out what is coming up each week at the UniBar
during session visit the UniBar
website.
Market Days are a regular feature
of student life at UOW. Markets are held around the
Duck Pond lawn throughout the year and offer a chance
to pick up a bargain.

Market Day
Individual students and clubs and societies are invited
to participate by setting up stalls to sell clothes,
artefacts, art, handicrafts, bric-a-brac etc. To hold
a stall contact Adene at adene@uow.edu.au.
It's all here waiting for you
Whether you prefer your leisure revved up or chilled
out, Wollongong's diverse range of entertainment, art
and cultural activities is bound to please.
The University Hall stages a range of events from orchestral performances, to national and international
bands to staged plays and comedy acts.

Orchestral Rehearsal in the Great Hall
Off campus, the Wollongong Entertainment Centre and
Performing Arts Centre both attract national and international
performers, while the region also houses a resident
professional circus and theatre companies, one of Australia's
best regional art galleries, cinemas and libraries.
The Faculty of Creative Arts (FCA),
situated in building 25, shows a great variety of visual
works by international artists and local artists. FCA
promotes an intensive program of exchange and cooperation
in the form of research and in funding studios for artist-in-residence
programs.

Exhibition at the FCA Gallery
Undergraduate and Postgraduate students from our Faculty
exhibit their works in our galleries and regular readings
and performances accompany the official
openings.
