The Faculties

We believe in a student-centred approach

A Faculty of Arts education encourages students to develop and express their ideas both verbally, as in the case of this tutorial, and in written form. Tutorials, like this one, enable students to hone their skills while at the same time being highly enjoyable.


Arts - tutorial

The Faculty of Commerce has earned a strong reputation, both from within Australia and overseas, for the quality of its teaching and research. Our reputation is reflected in the business community's demand for our graduates, who enjoy high employment rates in the public and private sectors and high graduate starting salaries.

The Faculty of Creative Arts (FCA), situated in building 25, shows a great variety of visual works by international artists and local artists. FCA promotes an intensive program of exchange and cooperation in the form of research and in funding studios for artist-in-residence programs.

Students and researchers in our Faculty of Engineering get to work in well-designed laboratories and workshops essential to the development of engineering skills.

Faculty of Health & Behavioural Sciences - The Clinical Nursing Laboratory provides a crucial part in the education of bachelor of nursing students. Practical instruction in the laboratory presents our students with the opportunity to put theoretical knowledge into a practical context.

The Faculty of Informatics is recognised internationally for strengths in research, development and innovation in the areas of telecommunications, information technology, mathematical and computer modelling, industrial automation and power engineering.

The Faculty of Law has attracted highly qualified staff from Universities in Australia and overseas and from the practice of law. We have Centres for Court Policy and Administration, Natural Resources Law and Policy, and Maritime Policy, in which a number of specialist courses and subjects have been developed.
