Established in 2004 by the University Council the medal is named in honour of the University’s first Chancellor.
Each year the successful applicant receives $7000, the Chancellor Robert Hope Memorial Prize Medal and may elect a community organisation to which the University will donate $3000.
To be eligible you must:
- Be graduating in the year of the prize with a UOW Bachelor degree
- Have completed 96 credit points from UOW
- Demonstrate exceptional contribution to the community
- Demonstrate consistent outstanding academic performance

Nominations for 2011 are now closed. The nomination for for the 2012 Prize will be available in the second half of the year.
