Cookies and Entering WebCT
The problem
WebCT uses a method of user authentication which requires your browser to allow
the storage of cookies
on your computer. Normally browsers are set to allow cookies and you won't notice
any problem.
However, if you can't get into WebCT, and your username and passsword are OK,
it may be that your browser is set to **not accept cookies**. There will be
no warning provided of this cause of failure.
Historically users have blocked cookies because of unfounded security fears. Cookies are only used to identify
a web user, no files are destroyed or compromised by cookies though they may be used to track a user's browsing
habits. Read more...
The solution
Change your browser's settings so that it allows cookies.
