Sharing the big occasion are her mother, Anne Nealon, who is the eTeaching Support Officer in the School of Information Technology and Computer Science (SITACS) and her sister, Kirsty. Jessica\'s late father, Ross Nealon, was the first student to graduate from UOW with a Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) degree. He was employed by the then Department of Computer Science on graduating in 1979 and until his death in 1988. The Nealon family sponsor the Ross Nealon Prize for second year Bachelor of Computer Science students in memory of Ross.'))

 and Orawan Ngamna received their PhD degrees at Monday\'s morning ceremony. Both are working in the developing new field of nanotechnology with Dr Wu\'s research helping to make the installation of the cochlear ear implant device even more accurate while Dr Ngamna has pioneered the development of techniques for production of conducting polymer nanoparticals (1000 times less than the diameter of a human hair). They are pictured with the Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Electromaterials Science, Professor Gordon Wallace.'))
