Graduation Photos

Wollongong Hawks player, John Philip, graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Health and Physical Education) degree at the Friday morning ceremony on 15 December.

Kristy Kervin graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Honours) degree. She received an award from the University of Virginia for 'Exemplary use of technology in the induction of teaching'. She has been invited to Texas in 2007.

Amanda Mobberly, a student rep with UOW's UniAdvice, graduated with a Bachelor of Teaching. Also pictured is her brother Michael, father Tony, mother Lisa, aunt Merryn Russell, sister Kate, grandfather Bruce Russell & grandmother Marie Russell.

Proud to be the first in his family to study at University, Aaran Peggs graduated on Friday morning with a Bachelor of Education degree. He is pictured with his girlfriend, Amanda Mobberly, who also graduated on the day with a Bachelor of Teaching degree.

Sudharma Gajadeera gained a PhD for her study of the challenges of professional dev. for teachers of English as a 2nd language in Sri Lanka. Her daughters Hasini & Gayasri graduated with a degree in Education (Honours) & with Creative Arts (in July 2006.)

The Occasional Address at the morning ceremony was presented by Dr Julie Kiggins, co-ordinator of the Knowledge Building Community program. She is pictured with the Chancellor, Mr Michael Codd AC & NSW Minister for Regional Development, Mr David Campbell.

Project Officer for the Carrick Awards based at UOW's CEDIR, Michael Kelly, was awarded a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws. He is pictured with his girlfriend who is a Science (Honours) graduate from UOW, Emily Schmelitschek.

Ricardo Di Pietro graduated on Friday afternoon with a Bachelor of Engineering degree. His four brothers and two sisters are all graduates of UOW. He is pictured with his mother Anna-Maria and his girlfriend Chloe Skipp.

Scott Penfold was awarded the University Medal in the Faculty of Engineering and for the Bachelor of Medical Radiation Physics Advanced (Honours).

Marcel Gordon was awarded the Chancellor Robert Hope Memorial Prize. He graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Science (with Distinction) and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours). He was also the recipient of this year's University Medal for the Faculty of Law.
