Exams & Results

Querying your results

If you wish to query your results you should take the following steps:

  1. Raise the matter informally with the lecturer or subject coordinator
  2. If you are still dissatisfied with the results after having discussed it with your lecturer or subject coordinator, you should discuss it with the Head of the relevant academic unit.
  3. If, after discussion, you remain dissatisfied, you may wish to formally appeal the result by submitting an outline of the reasons for your appeal in writing, to the person or committee specified by your Faculty (e.g. Head of School, Programme Administrator, Sub-Dean, Associate Dean, Dean). You must lodge your appeal within ten (10) working dates of the publication of the result.
  4. Where the matter remains unresolved after you have followed these steps, you may refer the matter, in writing, to the Dean of Students within ten (10) working days of receiving a response from the last person involved at the Faculty stage of the process.
