Provisional Enrolment Waiver
Students who have provisional subjects and wish to have the pre/co requisites waived, can seek approval with this form. Please see our Provisional Enrolment page for more information.
Application to Reduce Study Load (International Students)
International Students can apply to reduce their study load in the instance of compassionate or compelling circumstances. Additional information can be found on the International Student page under 'Your COE'. Reduced Study Load
Adding and Deleting Subjects

Change your course - Application to Vary Course Registration (Course Transfer)
Students wishing to change their course can submit the following form for approval. Course Transfers will need to be in line with the UOW policy to be approved. For more information please see our Course Transfers page. Course Transfer
Application to Declare or Change Intended Major or Minor
For example, to change your B.Com major from Marketing to Accounting. For more information on please see our Changing Course, Campus or Major page.
You can declare or change most major and minors by logging onto SOLS and selecting 'Major Maintenance' from the left hand menu.
However, some majors and minors will require faculty approval. If you cannot select your choice on SOLS, complete this form to have it approved and added for you.Declare/Change Major
Application for International Studies Minor
Undergraduate students can apply to include International Studies as a minor within their degree. For more information on this minor please see International Studies Minor website.
Application for Credit or Exemption
This form is to be used if you’d like exemption or credit for subjects you have previously completed. For more information please view the policy or our Credit and Exemption page. Credit and Exemptions
Application for Advanced Standing (HDR Students Only)
Higher Degree Research Students can apply for an exemption or credit for subjects they have already completed. This form is to be submitted to Research Services Centre.
Bridging Course Application
In order to excel in your degree, you can enrol in bridging courses within the areas of biology, chemistry and physics. For more information on these courses please view the Bridging Courses webpage.
For International students who require a Confirmation of Enrolment for visa purposes. Additional information can be found at Your COE. Students will need to apply through SOLS under 'Student Forms'
Application for leave of absence (Domestic Students)
If you have studied at the University for at least one session you can apply for a leave of absence to take a break from studies for up to 12 months. However, conditions do apply. Please view our policy, or for more information please see our Taking a Break From Studying Webpage. Undergraduate students can apply for a leave of absence, in SOLS under 'Student Forms'.

CHANGE TO PERmanENT RESIDENCY STATUS
Undergraduate and Postgraduate students who wish to change their personal details can find more information here.
HDR students can change to permanent residency through the form below.
APPEAL AGAINST LATE FEE
Students can appeal enrolment or late payment fee through an application on SOLS. Students can apply through 'Student Forms' and will need to provide supporting documentation with their application. Students will need to apply in SOLS under 'Student Forms'.
Refund Of Fees
Students who wish to seek a refund for their tuition fees or HECS debt can apply through the application form below. Students are required to withdraw from subjects where a refund is being applied for.

REQUEST TO TRANSFER UOW CREDIT TO UOW COLLEGE OR ACCOMMODATION SERVICES (INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY)
International students who have credit within their UOW student account can apply for their credit to be transferred to UOW College or Accommodation Services.
SCHOLARSHIP EXTENSION (HDR STUDENTS)
HDR students who wish to apply for an extension to their scholarship can apply through this form. View an example.
The following letters and documents are for HDR students only. If you are an undergraduate or postgraduate student, please refer to Official Documents.
Students can simply apply for these documents through SOLS online forms under 'Student Forms'.
CHANGE ENROLMENT STATUS
HDR students (domestic only) who wish to receive a confirmation letter to prove their change of enrolment status can apply through SOLS, under 'Student Forms'. View an example here.
STATEMENT OF STATUS - THESIS EXAMINATION
For HDR Students would like a letter detailing their name, degree, thesis title, and scholarship dates. Students will need to apply via SOLS under 'Student Forms'. View an example here.
STATEMENT OF STATUS - SCHOLARSHIP
For HDR Students who would like a letter detailing their name, degree, thesis title, and examination progress. Students will need to apply via SOLS, under ‘Student Forms’. View an example here.
For HDR Students who wish to receive a a document detailing their name, degree, thesis title and completion date. Students will need to apply via SOLS, under ‘Student Forms’. View an example.
Graduation Invitations for Overseas Guests
International HDR students can apply for an official letter for the visa purposes of their guests. Students will need to apply via SOLS, under ‘Student Forms’. View an example here.
APPLICATION FOR CROSS INSTITUTIONAL STUDY AT UOW
If you are not enrolled as a UOW student but wish to study at UOW as a cross-institutional student you can apply using this form. Cross institutional students will be considered for enrolment if vacancies exist for that subject. University rules, as stated in the University of Wollongong Handbook, also apply to Cross Institutional students. See our Fees webpage for a more information on fees and charges.
APPLICATION FOR NON-AWARD STUDY AT UOW
Individuals who want to study a subject at the university, are able to apply as non-award students through this form. See our Fees webpage for more information on fees and charges.
UOW students who are completing units at another university, can apply to receive credit towards their degree at our University.
APPLICATION FOR A LETTER OF RELEASE
International students who have studied at the University for less than 6 months and are seeking a release from the University can apply for a letter of release from the University. For more information, please see Leaving UOW.
Students who are enrolled, and have been studying for less than 6 months can apply via SOLS.
Students who are not yet enrolled, and are seeking release or withdrawal from the University can apply through the application form below.
International students as well as Higher Degree Research students who are wishing to withdraw from their course, and have studied at the University for over 6 months can apply via the form below. Higher Degree Research Students need to submit their forms to the Research Student Centre in person or via fax, or post. Students can refer to the specific direction provided on the form.
