Apply for Funding for a Community Engagement Project:
Do you have an idea for a project that will help strengthen links between students and the broader community? Then you may be interested in applying for funding under UOW’s Community Engagement Grants Scheme.
The Scheme provides funding to staff and students for projects that are predominantly service-orientated, consistent with the University’s Community Engagement Plan and have a clear community benefit. Application are invited for small grants of between $1,000 and $10,000. Funding will be awarded on a competitive basis taking into account:
• The extent to which the project is aligned with the University’s core values and goals
• The benefits to be gained from this project for the community and UOW
• The extent to which the project has clearly defined and measurable outcomes
• The extent to which the project involves the support and/or participation of community stakeholders.
A total funding pool of $50,000 is available in 2007 - of which $5,000 will be reserved for a student project or projects. Detailed selection criteria and information regarding submission can be found at the link below.
