2007 Parking
As in previous years, we anticipate that there will be a high demand for parking across campus in the early weeks of session. Every year we see students, staff and visitors competing for limited parking in peak periods. Where practicable and to avoid disappointment and delays, we encourage all students, staff and visitors to use public buses and trains.
Park and ride to any local train station and catch a train to North Wollongong station then catch the Shuttle Bus to campus.
IMPORTANT ISSUES:
* Anticipate high demand for parking spaces in pay and display ticket bays and the Parking Station.
* We encourage staff and students to consider carpooling and use the Rideshare discounted parking scheme (3 or more to a car) between 8am and 9.30am in the short-term Parking Station. See the parking attendant on entry.
* Free Parking for up to 30 mins is available in the Parking Station. After 30 mins charges apply.
* Pay & Display parking is restricted to signposted bays only in designated carparks. These are on a first-come first-served basis, using a Pay & Display ticket purchased from ticket machines and displyed on the vehicle dashboard correct side up. Failure to display a valid ticket will result in a Penalty Notice being issued.
* 1P designated bays for one hour parking for $1 is available in the Ovals Carpark. Note 1P tickets are valid in 1P signposted bays only.
* 2P Pay & Display parking is restricted to Northern Carpark and available only after 4pm each day Mon-Fri.
* We continue to advise that an entry permit does not guarantee a parking space and Pay & Display ticket bays and Parking Station bays are available on a first-come first-served basis.
* UOW entry permit bays are restricted to permit holders only.
* Staff can park and pay to use the Parking Station or the Pay and Display ticket bays.
