Global Highway Cultural Event

An invitation to all UOW students - Global Highway is back on this year during International Week.

Organised by students living in the university residences, Global Highway will celebrate the many nationalities that live @ uow. Stalls representing different nations will be set up on campus from the UniBar to the McKinnon Building and participants will have the chance to take part in a variety of activities such as henna painting, Bollywood Dancing and traditional Chinese painting. Collect your Global Highway passport at the living @ UOW stand, participate in the activities at each stall and everyone who finishes the Global Highway collects a prize. Countries participating this year are China, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Morocco, Scandinavia/Norway, India, Slovenia, Colombia, Canada, Australia, UK, Kenya, USA and Iran.

Global Highway will be held on Thursday 4 September from around 10am to 3pm during International Week. All students are invited to participate, so collect your passport from the living @ uow stand, have fun and learn about the many cultures that live @ uow. International Week is being held from Monday 1 September to Friday 5 September and will feature live bands, international games, a trivia contest, activities hosted by clubs & societies and other events hosted by UniCentre.
