Upgraded WebMail Interface
A new version of the University's WebMail client is now available, with an updated interface that is similar to the common email clients such as Outlook and Netscape. This new version will become the default UOW WebMail client, and can be accessed at http://webmail.uow.edu.au. The old WebMail interface is still available by clicking the "Old WebMail Interface" link on the WebMail sign-in page.
Note that the change is limited to the interface. Your WebMail folders, contacts, preferences and settings are the same whether you use the new or old WebMail interface.
A UOW-specific userguide is available by selecting "UOW Webmail Userguide" on the sign-in page. It is recommended that you take a quick look at this guide which explains some basic setup options. A comprehensive online help system is also provided by the WebMail vendor. This can be accessed by selecting "Mirapoint Help" on the sign-in page.
You will notice that there is a Calendar and Tasks component in the new WebMail interface. These components exist in the old interface as well, but have greater visibility in the new interface. They are fully functional for personal use.
