The Faculty of Arts in conjunction with the Historic Houses Trust of NSW would like to invite you to:
RESEARCHING THE LOCAL
A workshop for students thinking about honours at the University of Wollongong.
At Shoalhaven Campus on September 16, starting at 10 am
Morning tea and a complimentary lunch will be provided followed by a tour of the Meroogal House Museum, a property of the Historic Houses Trust, in Nowra.
We have also arranged transport to and from Wollongong campus free of charge. The bus will depart from Wollongong campus at 8:45 am and return at 5 pm.
There are still some places available on the bus travelling from the Wollongong campus to the Shoalhaven campus for Friday’s workshop.

The speakers; Glenn Mitchell on Port Kembla, Nancy Huggett on Cinema Going in the Illawarra during the 1920s and 30s, Ruth Richmond on her research for a Political Biography of John Hatton (the retired MLA for South Coast) and Dorothy Jones now retired from English Studies on Researching Material Culture.
