UOW Student Representative Team UOW Student Representatives are paid ambassadors of the University of Wollongong, who support student recruitment and marketing activities. Duties • Presentations to Year 9-12 students at schools and Careers Markets in the Illawarra, Southern and South Western Sydney, Southern Highlands, South Coast, rural NSW and other areas as required • Answer questions about the University’s faculties and facilities at Careers Markets, schools etc • Conduct campus tours for visitors to the University, both international and domestic students and their families. • Participate in recruitment events (both on and off campus) as required Essential Criteria • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team • Enrolled as a full time student in the first or second year of an undergraduate degree at UOW • Credit average or above (if in second year) • Completed the HSC(or equivalent for interstate & international students) in 2008, 2009 or 2010 • Be over 18 years of age • Hold a current drivers license (minimum Green P’s). Desirable Criteria • Received a UAI/ATAR of 75+ (or equivalent if an interstate or international student) • Previous customer service experience or marketing experience Hours of work Work as a UOW Student Representative is on an irregular casual basis. Hours depend upon demand, and flexibility of the student’s timetable. There will be shifts of a few hours during the day, some shifts at night, and sometimes trips away (up to a week at a time).
