Healthy men needed for training study

HEALTHY MEN NEEDED FOR EXERCISE TRAINING STUDY

Researchers from the School of Health Sciences at the University of Wollongong would like to talk to men between the ages of 30-55 years who are generally healthy, but do not engage in regular activity.

We are conducting an exercise training study looking at cardiovascular and strength changes that occur with 2 different forms of cycling exercise.

The training study will take place over a period of approximately 15 weeks and will require about 2 hours per week of your time for a total of 30 hours commitment.

This study is the foundation for future studies that will look at unique exercise programs for individuals with heart and lung disease in order to improve fitness and quality of life.

Benefits from participation include: access to Exercise Physiologists, assessment of fitness, an 8 week exercise program, blood pressure & heart rate monitoring and personal results at the conclusion of the study.

If you are interested or would like additional information, please contact Michael Lewis at mcl954@uow.edu.au or by phone at 4221 4093 (work) or 0413901123 (mobile). An information sheet outlining the study can be supplied if you require more detailed information.

Thank you for your interest.
