Professor Will Price, Dean of Science

This is a research-intensive Faculty – one of the strongest in Australia.  

This Faculty comprises the Schools of:

• Biological Sciences
• Chemistry
• Earth and Environmental Sciences

A distinctive feature of the UOW Faculty of Science is the close connection between forefront research and undergraduate teaching.  Our top researchers lecture and conduct practical classes and our postgraduate research students are also involved extensively. Our best students do independent research as part of their degrees, sometimes with our collaborators at overseas Universities.

At Postgraduate level we offer:

• PhD and Masters research programs in each discipline 
• A range of Coursework Masters degrees

The Faculty is actively involved in the promotion of science in schools and in the wider community, through the annual Siemens Science Experience for Year 9-10 students, and the  Illawarra Coal Regional Science Fair.
