2012 Illawarra Coal Regional Science Fair

A Science Fair provides an opportunity for students to showcase the results of their own science research projects and encourages the development of both research and communication skills.  By participating in Science Fairs, students become researchers in their own right.

2011 Illawarra Coal Regional Science Fair Results

What a fabulous day! Over 400 students from primary and high schools presented over 300 projects.  Students had a great time presenting their research and the Judges were very impressed with the quality of projects. Winners received trophies, cash prizes and medallions. Everyone had a great day and we are all looking forward to next year!

Awards for Excellence

The Regional Science Fair organising team of Dr Melissa Thompson and Ms Lisa Hutton were recently awarded the Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Community Engagement for their outstanding work in developing the Regional Science Fair from a high school based event to a large community engagement program involving primary and high school students and teachers, parents, UOW researchers, alumni and industry sponsors.   2009 UOW - IMG - Read More - UOW Default
