Science Three Minute Thesis Competition Final

Congratulations to Mark Romano - PhD candidate in Chemistry - who won the Faculty of Science Final of the 3MT Competition with his presentation Electrical Power from thermal energy harvesters.

Congratulations also to Ebby Hayes - PhD candidate in SEES - who won the People's Choice Award for her presentaion Dating and identifying traces of modern human in Australia.

Future Fellow trio join forces to identify new pathway to treat Alzheimer’s disease

Faculty of Science Future Fellows Professor Brett Garner (Biological Sciences), Associate Professor Aaron Oakley (Chemistry) and Dr Heath Ecroyd (Biological Sciences) have combined their different areas of research expertise together for groundbreaking research.

Together with PhD student Ms Surabhi Bhatia, they have joined forces with other scientists to discover a new function for a protein with important implications for Alzheimer’s disease and ageing.. Read more...
