Academic style

The style of writing expected in a thesis is formal, and can be characterised further as impersonal, technical, concise, persuasive, logical and cohesive. Explanations and illustrations of what is meant by each of these terms are provided in the sections on wording and text strategies.

Once you have a good sense of what material you're going to present, and how you might organise its presentation, you need to focus carefully on wording and data presentation.
