EndNote

If you have an extensive bibliography and/or make many references to your sources through the text, you may also want to consider learning to use Endnote.

EndNote is a bibliographic management program that enables you to store references, search and download citations from electronic sources, insert citations into Microsoft Word documents, and create bibliographies automatically in a wide range of referencing styles. It facilitates the compilation and cross referencing of bibliographic material. The software and instructional tutorials are available Online, or you can contact the library to enquire about workshops.

ACTIVITY: Access the online tutorial
The Online tutorial for Endnote can be accessed through the library website, under the 'teach yourself' section within their HELP area, or via the direct link here:

http://www.library.uow.edu.au/helptraining/tutorials/endnote/index.html

Workshops are also run in the library, for a fee. See the library's website for details.

The software is on the library's Study Access computers, and can also be downloaded onto your computer - please contact your Faculty IT support person if you want the software to be installed on your computer. Copies of the software can also be borrowed for one week from the Library's Reserve Collection to download onto your home computer. Details about installation can be found on the library's Endnote site, under FAQ.

EndNote manuals for Macintosh and Windows are available in the Library Reference and Reserve Collections.
