Honours students often feel that they are at the bottom of the pecking order, and have insufficient access to all the things listed below! This is all the more reason to make sure there is a good match between the scope of your project and the resources available.
People are of course a crucial resource. It's true that in many ways you're on your own; the task of the Honours year is to assess your ability to undertake independent research. But even the most individualistic project needs a team. At the very least there will be a supervisor, and there is a whole academic unit full of interested staff.
