Spatial Analysis Laboratories
The Spatial Analysis Laboratories (SAL) are a facility within the School of Earth & Environmental Sciences. The SAL specialises in geographic information science, technology and resources. SAL consists of three laboratories, specialist staff and a range of geospatial software and measuring equipment.

There is no eating or drinking in any of the SAL Labs and all the UOW computer lab rules apply in STL and TOL.
SEES teaches GIS using the ESRI ArcGIS software and Remote Sensing using ENVI. There are a range of other geospatial software products available to researchers within the School. A SAL Software Search Tool is under development and will be available soon. If you would like to discuss the installation of new software or make enquiries what is currently available, please email us.
We have access to a wide range of geospatial measurement technologies, either directly through SAL or via our connection to SEES, including;

- Supporting equipment, such as; video cameras, still cameras and voice recorders
This equipment may be used in conjunction with the wide array of measurement and processing equipment described on the SEES Facilities pages.
